Revolutionerende design og konstruktion i træ og stål. Konstrueret af mere end 300m2 bambuskyrdsfinér, er dette det første parkouranlæg nogensinde udført som en kun 93mm slank trækonstruktion, med skæve vinkler, skrå flader og frie spænd op til 4,5m.

Den nye installationen er designet som et stort møbel, som tilsyneladende er vokset frem og har indtaget den gamle eksisterende gymnastiksal. For at udnytte pladsen optimalt, og for at opnå den slanke og svævende konstruktion, blev der specialdesignet og laserskåret mere end 1 ton stålbeslag og -forstærkninger til konstruktionens indre. Installationen fungerer desuden som et skulpturelt og scenografisk rum med henblik på andre aktiviteter og fx opvisninger.

Rummet indeholder desuden et “blødt” område til opvarmning, akrobatik og gruppeaktiviter, samt en usædvanlig og kreativ ombygning af det hydrauliske gulv som dækker den gamle springgrav, som skaber et utal af muligheder for at forbinde bevægelsesflows.

Revolutionary design and constrution in wood and steel. Build from more than 300m2 of bamboo plywood this is the first parkour facility ever created as an only 93mm thick sandwich asssembly, with crooked angles, slanted surfaces and free spans of up to 4,5m.

The new installation is designed as a large piece of furniture which seems to have grown inside the space and taken over the old gym. In order to optimally utilise the space and achieve the slim and floating structure, more than 1 tonne of specially designed and laser cut fittings were created, invisibly reinforcing the sandwich construction. The installation further acts as a sculptural and scenographic space for other activities like for instance dance performances or exhibitions.

The space also contains a ”soft” area for warming up, doing acrobatics and group activities, as well as an unusual and creative retrofitting of the hydraulic floor covering the existing foam pit, creating another dimension and even more movement opportunities.
