Let’s Play
- a tribute to a moving city

A 5-part film produced by Mikkel Rugaard (w. Street Movement) for DAC - the Danish Architecture Center

Concept, Idea & Direction by Mikkel Rugaard

Cinematography by Mathias Tegtmeier - skillfully filmed on a Blackmagic URSA Mini 4.6K

Project supported by Realdania, Nordea-fonden & Lokale og Anlægsfonden.

This 5-part movie was created for the Danish Architecture Centre in connection to their 2016 exhibition "Let's Play".

The 5 scenes take you to select iconic Copenhagen locations over the course of a day, from sunrise to sunset. Each scene feature different unique activities, and people performing them, selected specifically for the time, tempo, scale and feel of that specific space.

Rather than the technical difficulty of the movements themselves - however impressive they may be - the lead performers function mainly as a point of reference, or anchor, for the camera, while in reality trying to capture the mood and feel of the space around them from a social and everyday point of view.
